Newbridge RFC and Shane Williams Promotions Ltd are delighted to announce a special British Lions evening on Friday March 26th at the club.

The first event of it's kind which will feature IRB World Player of the Year 2008-2009 Shane Williams and Irish Grand Slam winner Tommy Bowe.

The event will be hosted by International referee Nigel Owens.

After the 18-0 defeat at Llanharan last weekend, Newbridge made several changes to the starting line up for the game against Ystrad Rhondda.

This saw prop Luke Hunter (newly signed on loan from Newport) make his home debut and coming into the front row with former Newbridge Youth product Chris Davies Gareth Betts also made the switch from the bench last week and came into the side at inside half................................

This Wednesday will see a great clash between 2 old rivals at the Welfare Ground as Newbridge Under 16's take on Crumlin Under 16's in a 7:15pm kick off.

The under 16 section of the Club have been working hard this season as their efforts grow to take the team into its first season at Youth level next season. They have a great group of lads and are certainly worthy of all your support.

There will be a small admission charge of £1.00 on Wednesday and this will go to the fund for the under 16's/Youth recently announced tour to Canada in 2 seasons time.
